GHANA ARMY INVENTOR PRESENTS VEH PROTOTYPE TO COAS

An Inventor In The Ghana Army (GA) – Warrant Officer Class I (WOI) Awal Mohammed Has Presented A Prototype Of A Military Vehicle To The Chief Of The Army Staff (COAS) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah.

At The Army Headquarters On Wednesday 4 January 2023. WOI Awal Contended That The Car Which He Named AMHI WSO-22, Is A Fuel Efficient, Safe And Spacious Multi-Purpose Vehicle Which Is Suitable For Military Duties Including Patrols, Guard Visits, Dispatch And Drill Display. WOI Awal Said That His Vehicle Build Up Was Informed By The Self-Help-Spirit Of The COAS Since His Assumption Of Command, Whilst His Motivation Remains The COAS’ Mantra Of Problem-Solving And Teamwork.

He Therefore Informed The COAS That He Built The Vehicle To Support Command In Addressing Some Of The Logistics Challenges Confronting The Service. The COAS Lauded Him For His Efforts And Called On All Personnel To Emulate The Example Of WOI Awal, And Stressed That Innovative And Proactive Thinkers Like The WO Were Needed To Advance The Cause Of The Army. Maj Gen T Oppong-Peprah Further Stated That High Command Would Support The WO To Invent Relevant Machinery To Enhance The Effectiveness Of The Services.
